To Add Break Points to Pipe Segments
1. Click . The Break Point dialog box opens.
2. Select a pipeline segment to add a point.
3. Select a Dimension:

—Inserts the point at the location specified.

—Inserts the point at the specified length ratio. Valid values are greater than 0.0 and less than 1.0.

—Inserts the point the distance specified from the corner.
◦ ![](../../piping/piping/images/pipcut_planelen.png)
—Inserts the point at the distance specified from the selected plane.

—Inserts the point at the distance specified from the segment fitting.
4. Type a value to locate the point in the box under
Dimension. Click

to flip the reference from the start point to the end point of the segment.
| You can drag the handle in the graphics window to locate the point on the segment. Double click the location value to edit it in the graphics window. |
5. Click OK. The point is inserted in the pipe segment.
6. When you select a free-length flexible pipeline you can add, delete, and move interpolation points as needed. Use the Modify Curve dialog box to move the control polygon points.
