To Create Linear Dimensions
1. Right-click and choose Dimension from the shortcut menu or click > 
Normal.
Normal.2. To dimension the:
◦ Length of a line—Select the line.
◦ Distance between two parallel lines—Select the two lines.
◦ Distance between a point and a line—Select the line and the point.
◦ Distance between two points—Select the points.
◦ Distance between two arcs—Select the arcs and select a linear reference to which the dimension will be parallel.
3. Middle-click to place the dimension. The dimension is created.
