To Remove Bodies
As part of multibody design, there could be bodies that you want to remove from the model. For example, you created bodies as tools in the design process and you do not need them in the final model, or the system created bodies when you imported geometry from other models. You cannot delete these bodies, because they have contributing features. In these cases, you can use the Remove Body tool.
In the Model Tree, a Remove Body feature appears. Bodies that are removed do not contribute to mass properties. Their status becomes Consumed.
You cannot use a removed body as a reference in features that are below the Remove Body feature in the Model Tree.
1. To remove bodies, click Body. The Remove Body tab opens.
2. Select the bodies to remove.
3. Click OK. A Remove Body feature appears in the Model Tree. The removed bodies become consumed.

If you suppress or delete the Remove Body feature, the body removal is reversed. The body returns to its previous state, and its geometry is restored.
You cannot remove all the bodies in a part. A part must contain at least one body.
