To Define an Axis of Revolution
Use one of the following methods to define an axis of revolution:
• Select an external axis of revolution
• Create an internal centerline as an axis of revolution

To specify which centerline is used as the axis of revolution, select the desired centerline, and right-click and choose Designate Axis of Revolution.

External axis of revolution
1. Make sure the model contains linear geometry to use as an axis of revolution.
2. Click > 
Revolve. The Revolve tab opens.
Revolve. The Revolve tab opens.3. Select a sketch to revolve, or to create a sketch, click the Placement tab, click Define, sketch a section, and click 
OK.

4. Under Axis, click the collector.
5. Select a linear feature or geometric reference to use as an axis of revolution.
6. Continue defining the revolved feature.
Internal centerline as an axis of revolution
1. Click > Revolve. The Revolve tab opens.

3. Continue defining the revolved feature.
