About the Auto Round User Interface
The Auto Round tab consists of commands, tabs, and shortcut menus. Click Model, click the arrow next to Round, and click Auto Round to open the Auto Round tab.
Commands
Settings
Convex—Specifies the radius to apply to convex edges.
Concave—Specifies the radius to apply to concave edges.
Scope
All Bodies—Creates auto round features on the edges of all the solid bodies in the model.
Selected Bodies/Quilts—Creates auto round features on the edges of the selected quilts and bodies.
Quilt and body collector—Displays the quilts and bodies with edges to round with the auto round feature.
Selected Edges—Creates an auto round feature on selected edges or intent chains.
Selected edges collector—Displays edges or intent chains to round with the auto round feature. You can also drag the mouse pointer diagonally over the model to select multiple edges or intent chains.
Tabs
Scope
All bodies—Creates auto round features on the edges of all the solid bodies in the model.
Selected quilts and bodies—Creates auto round features on the edges of the selected quilts and bodies.
Convex Edges—Selects all convex edges in the model to round with the auto round feature.
Concave Edges—Selects all concave edges in the model to round with the auto round feature.
Exclude
Excluded Edges collector—Displays the edges and intent chains to exclude from the auto round feature. You can select one or more edges or chains of edges to exclude. You can also drag the mouse pointer diagonally over the model to exclude multiple edges or intent chains.
Geom Checks—Excludes an edge or a chain of edges that could not be rounded by the auto round feature. The Troubleshooter dialog box displays the reason why the edge or chain of edges could not be rounded. Geom Checks is available when the auto round feature could not round some of the edges, and you want to redefine the auto round feature.
Options
Create Group of Regular Round Features check box—Creates a group of individual regular round features from an auto round feature.
Make Round Features Dimensions Dependent—Makes the dimensions of each individual round feature in a group dependent on each other. Changing any one the dimension, updates the dimension of all the other round features of that round group.
Preserve A-R Feature Relations and Parameters—Preserves the auto round feature-level attributes such as parameters and relations in the individual round features of a round group.
Properties
Name box—Sets a name for a feature.
—Displays detailed component information in a browser.
Shortcut Menus
Right-click the graphics window to access shortcut menu commands.
Clear—Clears the active collector.
All bodies—Creates auto round features on the edges of all the solid bodies in the model.
Selected quilts and bodies—Creates auto round features on the edges of the selected quilts and bodies.
Selected Edges—Creates an auto round feature on selected edges or intent chains, and activates the selected edges collector.
Convex Edges—Selects all convex edges in the model to round with the auto round feature.
Concave Edges—Selects all concave edges in the model to round with the auto round feature.
Create as a Group—Creates a group of individual regular round features from an auto round feature.
Excluded Edges—Activates the Excluded Edges collector.
Make Dimension Independent—Makes the dependent dimensions of an individual round feature in a round group, independent of the other dimensions in the group. You have to regenerate the model to view the updated result.
