About Lightweight Representation of Holes
Hole features can take a lot of memory, especially if the model contains a large number of holes. To improve performance, you can use a lightweight representation of the hole.
You can change the geometry representation of a hole from solid to lightweight, and vice versa, at any time in Part mode. A lightweight hole can be used in the same way as a hole with solid geometry, including for searches, in patterns, and as part of user-defined features. The one exception is that model mass calculations do not consider lightweight holes.
Lightweight holes are represented in the graphics window by an orange circular curve and an axis. The curve follows the hole circumference and lies on the hole placement plane. In the Model Tree, lightweight holes are represented by the icon.
