About Spatial Patterns
A spatial pattern is equivalent to a table pattern, but the position and orientation of pattern members would require a transformation that includes multiple translations and rotations.
If a recognized pattern is a spatial pattern, there is only one option, 
Spatial, available on the recognized geometry menu. If a recognized pattern is a direction or axis pattern, at least two options are available on the recognized geometry menu because either of those patterns could also be recognized as a spatial pattern.
