About Using Groups
You can group entities together to perform the same procedures on a collection of them. For procedures such as translate, move, resize, copy, or mirror, grouped entities act as one.
When using groups, keep in mind the following:
A group may include all kinds of detail items such as draft entities, notes, symbols, geometric tolerances.
You can dimension grouped entities individually.
Creo Parametric creates a cross-section as a group automatically. The group contains the cross-hatch and the bounding entities. You cannot explode the cross-hatching; you can only delete it. After you complete procedures on the group, you can explode it (dissociate all entities).
To access the group functionality, click Edit > Group > Draft Group. The Draft Group menu displays the following:
Create—Creates a group by assigning entities and specifying its name.
Suppress—Suppresses a group by removing it from the display.
Resume—Redisplays a suppressed group.
Explode—Ungroups entities associated with a group.
Edit—Adds entities to a group or removes them from a group.
