To Add a Gate Automatically
1. Click the arrow next to Gate Setup and select Automatic Gate Creation. The Automatic Gate Creation dialog box appears.
2. Select a reference coordinate system.
If you do not specify the reference coordinate system, the default coordinate system is used for calculating the gate locations.
3. Select the direction of the mold opening from the Pull direction drop-down list.
4. Enter a value for the gate diameter in the Gate diameter box.
5. Select the number of gates from the Number of gates drop-down list.
6. Click Calculate to calculate the gate locations.
7. Click OK to apply the gates to the default solid body or click Close to cancel the gate locations. The automatic gate creation process removes all previously defined gates on the default solid body.
 | The gates are created normal to their locations. If the gate direction is not normal to the gate locations, the gates are rotated to the direction that is normal to the gate locations. |
