To Perform a 3D Thickness Check
1. On the Mold or Cast tab click Thickness. The Measure: 3D Thickness dialog box opens. is selected by default.

You can open the Measure: 3D Thickness dialog box from the Analysis tab Model Report group.
2. Select solid geometry, a surface, or a closed quilt from the reference model.
3. To change the display color for Minimum, Maximum, or Neutral values, click the color button. The Color Editor dialog box opens. Use the Color wheel, Blending palette, or RGB / HSV sliders to set the color and click OK.
4. Accept the default Tolerance or type a new value in the box.
5. Click the Use post-processing check box to improve quality and accuracy by post processing the results.

When you use post-processing, more time is required for calculations which will affect performance.
6. Click to open an Information Window to display advanced measure results.
7. Click to open the Options dialog box and change the following options:
Clear the Units by Model check box to change the Length Units for the measure results.
Select the number of Decimal Places or leave the default.
To automatically compute the result after changing a reference or option, click the Use automatic compute check box.
To display the Feature tab in the Measure: 3D Thickness dialog box, click the Show Feature Tab check box.
Use the buttons to control the display of the Measurement Panels.
8. To perform the thickness check, click Compute.
