To Define a Mold or Die Opening Sequence
1. Make sure that all the mold or die components are extracted, the molding or cast result is created, and the reference part and workpiece or die block are blanked.
2. Click Mold > Mold Opening or click Cast > Die Opening. The MOLD OPEN menu or the DIE OPEN menu appears.
3. Click Define Step > Define Move.
4. Select member(s) to move.
5. Select a linear edge, axis, or plane to indicate the direction. The member(s) move parallel to the edge or axis, or normal to the plane.
6. Enter the offset value. The red arrow indicates the positive direction. If you want to move in the opposite direction, enter the negative offset value.
7. Check interference for the current move if desired.
8. Define more moves for this step or click Done on the DEFINE STEP menu. The selected members move to their new positions.
9. Proceed to define steps for mold opening. After each step, the mold model is redrawn.
10. When finished, click Done/Return. The mold components are brought together to their original position.
