To Cut Out Reference Parts from a Workpiece or a Die Block
The reference part must be cut out from a workpiece or a die block to create a volume. You can then split this volume to create the core, cavity, and other required volumes of the mold.
1. Click Mold > Refpart Cutout or click Cast > Refpart Cutout. The Refpart Cutout tab opens. All the workpieces or die blocks are selected by default.
*
You can open the Refpart Cutout tab while splitting a volume. While splitting a volume on the Volume Split tab, Click Mold > Refpart Cutout to open a Refpart Cutout tab without losing the data on the Volume Split tab.
2. Click the Workpiece collector to select workpieces.
3. Click the Reference collector and select reference parts. You can right click the Workpiece or Reference collector to remove the selected workpieces or reference parts, respectively.
4. Select the required workpieces and reference parts. Alternatively, you can click the References tab and select the required workpieces and reference parts.
5. On the References tab, click the Include All check box to include all workpieces or reference parts, if required.
6. Click OK. The selected reference parts are cut out from the workpieces.
