To Perform Screen Editing of CL Data
The screen editing mode allows you to use the cursor, arrow keys, and some built-in functions directly in the text editor window.
1. On the CL EDIT menu, click Screen Edit.
2. Edit the CL data using the following function keys:
◦ <F2>—ToggleInput—Alternates between editing and browsing. In browse mode, you can walk through the file but cannot change it. In edit mode, the whole line that your cursor is on will be highlighted and you can edit it by typing.
◦ <F5 >—Line#—Display/remove line numbers in front of the lines.
◦ <F6>—DelLine—Delete the current line (edit mode only).
◦ <F7>—Cut—Cut the highlighted lines (edit mode only). To highlight several lines, press the LEFT mouse button and hold it down while dragging the mouse across the file.
◦ <F9>—Search—Search for a text string. Enter the string. The file is repositioned with the cursor on the first occurrence of the search pattern.
You can use the mouse to position the cursor and move through the file using the arrow keys, <PgDn> and <PgUp>, scroll bar at the side of the window.
3. When done, hit <F1> or <ESC> to quit the screen edit mode and return to the CL EDIT menu. Whichever key you use, all changes made in the screen edit mode will stay in the file. If you do not want to keep the changes, click Quit on the CL EDIT menu.

If you are running on a SUN workstation, you may need to modify your .xinitrc file to allow the use of function key <F1> by your applications.
