Specifying a Tip for CL Data Output
Note the following points while specifying a tip for CL data output:
If you do not select a tip for CL data output, the control tip specified in the step parameter TIP_CONTROL_POINT is used for CL data output.
When you change the tip number using the Output Tip check box, this change is applied to all sequences or steps using this tool. You must regenerate the tool path of all the NC sequences using the tool to reflect the change in the tip number.
If you delete a tip that was selected in offset table, it is as good as no tip is selected in the offset table.
When creating milling sequences, the RETRACT_CLEARANCE_TIP parameter enables you to identify the tip that clears the retract reference. You can specify the following values for this parameter:
DEFAULT_TIP—TIP1 or the default tip is used to clear the retract reference.
OUTPUT_TIP—The tip used to obtain the CL data output is used to clear the retract reference. If you do not select the Output Tip check box for a tool of type MULTI TIP, the RETRACT_CLEARANCE_TIP parameter setting is ignored
If you select a new output tip by clicking the Output Tip check box, the previously selected tip is deselected.
