Example: Closing a Volume when Milling a Through Pocket
When milling through pockets, you have to extend the edges at the bottom of the pocket downward, to indicate that the tool must go through, as shown in the following illustration:
1. Select seed surface.
2. Select bounding surfaces (top and bottom).
3. Select top of workpiece as Cap Plane, then select top edge using Sel Loops.
4. Select bottom of workpiece as Cap Plane, then select bottom edge using Sel Loops.
5. The pocket is extended down.
