To Add a Printer
Use this topic to perform any of the following procedures:
• Add a 3D printer to the list of available printers
• Add a Materialise build processor, software that enables Creo to connect with a 3D printer
• Create a representation of a printer tray in Creo Parametric, define the tray dimensions
1. Open the 3D Printers dialog box in one of the following ways:
◦ From the Creo Parametric Options window:
1. Click > . The Creo Parametric Options dialog box opens.
2. Click Additive Manufacturing. The additive manufacturing settings page opens.
3. Under 3D Printer Setup, click 3D Printers Settings.
◦ From the graphics window:
1. Access a tray assembly in one of the following ways:
▪ When you have a model open, click > > . The Tray tab opens and a new tray assembly is created.
▪ Create a tray assembly file.
▪ Open a tray assembly file.

2. Click
. The
Add Printer dialog box opens.
3. Perform one of the following actions:
◦ Install a 3D Systems printer:
1. Select 3DSystems, and then click Next.
2. Select one of the following ways of adding the printer:
▪ Manually—Manually add the details of the printer. Under URL, type the network IP address of the printer.
▪ Automatically—Automatically connect to an existing printer. Under URL, type the network IP address of the printer.
◦ Install a Materialise build processor:
▪ Select Materialise N.V, and then click Next. The 3D printer will be discovered.
◦ Create a representation of a printer tray in Creo Parametric:
1. Select Other, and then click Next.
2. In the Printer Name box, type a name for the representation.
3. Under Tray Dimensions, type a value for the X, Y, and Z dimensions.
4. Click Finish.
