To Measure Area
1. Click > > 
Area, or right-click the graphics window and choose Area from the shortcut menu. The Measure dialog box opens.

3. To measure the total area of more than one entity, hold down the CTRL key and select more entities. The total area value appears in the combined measurement panel for all the selected entities and in the Measure dialog box.
4. To project the area, click the Projection collector and select a reference plane, surface, axis, edge, curve, coordinate system axis, pipe segment (in assembly mode), or cable segment (in assembly mode). The projected area and actual area are displayed in the Measure dialog box.

5. To project the measurement onto a view plane that lies along your computer screen, click 
. The projected area and the actual area are shown. Click again to activate the Projection collector.
