To Offset a Segment Surface
1. Click > 
Offset. The Offset tab opens.

3. To create a board surface, make sure 
Surface is selected under Type and 
As Segment under Offset Type.

box to set the offset distance. Click

box, or accept the default value. Click to change the thickness direction.

◦ Click the Special Handling collector and select one or more surfaces to exclude. You can also click the Special Handling collector under Options to exclude surfaces.
For more information about excluding surfaces, search the Help Center.
◦ Click Add bends on sharp edges to round sharp edges when the sketch includes nontangent geometry. Set the value of the radius and the location for dimensioning the radius.
◦ Click Merge to model to merge the segment with intersecting segments.
To keep the new segment edges from merging with existing intersecting segments, click Keep merged edges.
To keep edges between bend surfaces in the offset segment, click the Keep edges of bends box
◦ Click Do not merge to model to keep the new geometry as a distinct segment.
To flip the driving surface of the new segment click Set driving surface opposite offset surface.
