Marker
A Marker tab is used to define a marker for the cables.
Markers represent shrink wrap tubing that is placed on a cable during the manufacturing process to identify the cable for assembly, maintenance, and repair purposes. Markers are represented as cylindrical features around the selected cable with a name tag to identify the marker. The tag switches on and off with the display of the datum point.
To Apply Marker to a Cable
1. Click Cosmetics > Marker.
The Marker tab opens.
2. Select a segment of the marker.
3. To accept the default length, diameter and thickness click .
4. The marker is created with the default values and the tab is closed automatically.
To Create Custom Marker to a Cable
If you want to customize the values of the markers, do the following:
1. Click Cosmetics > Marker.
The Marker tab opens.
2. Select a segment of the marker.

If the segment is removed from the Placement collector, the feature will reset (including all parameter settings). You can select a different segment and position of the marker.
3. Click the Options tab.
4. Modify the marker expanded diameter to change the existing diameter.
5. Modify the marker reduced diameter to change the existing diameter.
6. Modify the marker thickness to change the existing thickness.
7. Click to switch the reference end.
8. Click Properties tab.
9. Modify the marker name to change the default name.
10. Type the designation name to designate marker as part.
11. To accept the customized length, diameter and thickness for the marker, create it and close the tab, click or to close the tab without saving the changes, click .
12. Alternately, click to complete the creation of the marker and create a new marker with the same values.
To edit or update the marker, select the marker from the model tree or from the graphic window and use the edit definition command from the RMB menu.
