To Retrieve a Crosshatch Pattern
1. Open a drawing.
2. Select a cross-sectional view.
3. Double-click or right-click and click Properties on the shortcut menu. The MOD XHATCH menu appears on the Menu Manager.
4. Click > .
The system searches through the current working directory, the directory specified using the pro_crosshatch_dir configuration file option, and the system directory.
If you have set the pro_crosshatch_dir configuration option, the Open dialog box displays the User Patterns directory by default. Otherwise, the System Patterns directory is displayed that contains the crosshatch patterns files with .pat file extension.
◦ Non Linear Hatch (*.pat) — Displays the files with .pat extension.
◦ Xhatch Style (*.xch) — Displays the files with .xch extension.
◦ All Files (*) — Displays the files with .pat and .xch extensions.

You can also get patterns from the current working directory or the directory specified by the pro_crosshatch_dir configuration option by clicking Working Directory or User Patterns.

5. Use the Type list to display .pat, .xch, or all files.

You can set the default crosshatch pattern file type as pat or xch using the default_hatch_type configuration option.

6. In the Open dialog box, double-click the pattern that you want to apply.
If you select a .pat file, the Hatch Patterns dialog box opens. Select the pattern and click OK.
The selected crosshatch pattern replaces the current crosshatch of the view or the assembly member.

When you change the crosshatch type in the drawing, the model does not reflect the changed crosshatch. If you change the crosshatch type in a model, its drawings do not reflect the changed crosshatch.
