About Previewing a Print or Plot Output of a Drawing
You can view an output of the current drawing that you want to print or plot by clicking Preview in the Print Preview and Export Setup dashboard. This preview is a close representation of the actual print or plot output of the drawing. The currently selected sheet of the drawing and the paper size defined by the current printer configuration appear at the center of the graphics window.
Drawing objects in the white background will appear as close as possible to what you actually plot using pen tables, color, line weight and font, pen priorities, and other settings defined in the current printer configuration.
The outer margin of the graphics window has the same background color as the drawing’s background color as defined in System Colors for the drawing.
When previewing the drawing, you can pan, zoom in and out, or reposition the output sheet within the graphics window.
If you preview the output with segmented option, the preview image is rendered in the graphics window as a single sheet. The length of this sheet is equal to the number of segments times the current sheet length in the horizontal direction while the width is equal to the number of segments times the current sheet width in the vertical direction.
