About Drawing Support for Inseparable Assemblies
Drawings support assemblies with embedded components similarly to support for regular assemblies. The following characteristics apply to drawings for assemblies with embedded components.
A new drawing of an assembly with embedded components references the geometry of the embedded components. If a new drawing is created for an assembly after embedding or extracting the component, the drawing functionalities are fully supported for it.
When a drawing already exists for the top-level assembly or a subassembly, and components are embedded or extracted, the drawing may lose the detailing for these components. You may need to adjust detailing such as hatching properties, annotations display, and layer status for these components.
When a View directly references a component being embedded, it will continue to reference the original component.
Repeat regions do not include embedded components by default. You can include embedded components in a repeat region from the Repeat Region menu. Use the No Embedded menu command to exclude an embedded component from the repeat region.
Only embedded components marked as included in the repeat region, are included in the BOM.
When a BOM balloon is attached to a component that is embedded or extracted, then that BOM balloon will still be associated with the component after the embed or extract operation.
