About the Pre-modified Models

A pre-modified checkpoint is created automatically when you start a new Design Exploration session. the pre-modified checkpoint contains information of the unmodified versions of the following models:

• All models open when you start a Design Exploration session

• All models you open while in session

• All unmodified versions of models in the Design Exploration session, that are not already stored, when you perform a

Store Models operation.

By default, models that are not retrieved or modified in the Design Exploration session are not stored. To prevent name conflicts when new models are created or added from a different location, it is recommended to perform one of the following operations:

• Set the des_exp_create_backups configuration option to yes.

• Select the Environment > Back up models in session when starting and during Design Exploration session check box.

• Set the search_path_file configuration option so that the search.pro file contains paths to all directories.
