About ACIS Export Profile Settings and the Corresponding Configuration Options

Advanced
Enable ACIS extension
Select this option to include datum features, sketches, cross-sections, and parameters in the export.
Specifies whether the ACIS extension is active.
Advanced > Model preferences
Export assembly as
Flat*, All Levels
Is available when you select Enable ACIS extension.
Specifies the file structure of the exported assembly models.
Export units
As Is*, in, ft, mm, cm, micron
Is available when you select Enable ACIS extension.
The exported models include units of length, independent of the model units. For example, if the length in a model is defined in inches, you can export the model with length set in millimeters.
Advanced > Include
Datums
Is available when you select Enable ACIS extension.
The export includes datum points, axes, curves, and coordinate systems.
Sketches
Is available when you select Enable ACIS extension.
The export includes sketches.
Cross sections
Is available when you select Enable ACIS extension.
The export includes cross-sections.
Parameters
Is available when you select Enable ACIS extension.
The export includes user-defined parameters, their values, and units.

Raise free-form surface degree
Raises the surface degree for approximating free-form surfaces as bezier patches.

5 to 16 with 16 as the default.
Is available when you select Raise free-form surface degree.
The maximum degree of the free-form surface used when approximating free-form surfaces as bezier patches.
Extend surface boundaries
Is selected by default.
Extends the domains of surfaces until the surfaces intersect.
