About JT Export Profile Settings and the Corresponding Configuration Options
The following table maps the settings on the JT Export Profile Settings export profile editor with the corresponding configuration options in the config.pro file.
Export Profile Options
Values
Description
Corresponding Configuration Options
Configure JT export with an external jtconfig file
*
If you select this option, the options in the jtconfig file override the JT Export Profile Settings profile editor settings. The export profile editor options are then not available.
Specifies that you configure the export with an external jtconfig file.
Path to jtconfig
Specifies the path to the jtconfig configuration file.
Name of jtconfig
The name of the JT configuration file.
Model preferences
Export part as
Tessellated*, As is and Tessellated
Specifies the representation of part models after export.
Export brep as
jtbrep*, xtbrep
Set Export part as to As is and Tessellated if you want to set Export brep as to xtbrep.
Specifies the brep format to include in the export.
Export assembly as
Separate Parts*, Separate All, Single file
Specifies the file structure of the exported assembly models.
Export 3 Default LODs
The tessellated data includes the automatically generated level-of-details (LODs).

The export includes cross-sections.
Explode state
The export includes exploded states of assembly models.
Construction bodies
Is selected by default.
The export includes construction bodies.
Tessellation settings
Tessellate with steps
Exports the facet geometry of the model and tessellates the model using the maximum step size value to create a uniform mesh.
Tessellate part components with proportional chord heights
Applies the maximum value of chord height that is proportional to the size of each component and tessellates the part components of assemblies with this chord height value.
Tessellate part components with proportional step sizes
Is available only when Tessellate with steps is selected.
Applies the maximum value of step size that is proportional to the size of components and tessellates the part components of assemblies with this step size value.
Advanced > Geometry and entity preferences
Maximum surface deviation
–1.000000
Specifies the accuracy needed for surface approximation when converting surfaces to free-form surfaces.
Raise free-form surface degree
Raises the surface degree for approximating free-form surfaces as bezier patches.
Maximum free-form surface degree
5 to16 with 16 as the default.
Is available when you select Raise free-form surface degree.
The maximum degree that can be used when approximating b-spline surfaces.
Extend surface boundaries
Is selected by default.
Extends the domains of surfaces until the surfaces intersect.
