About Disabling Import Validation at the Start of a Creo Session
By default, part and assembly models that you import or open as non-native models using the Creo Unite technology are validated automatically and the import validation failures sent to the Notification Center. These actions are controlled by the following settings:
The Enable Import Validation check box—This check box on the 3D data exchange settings page of the Creo Parametric Options dialog box is selected by default.
The intf3d_in_enable_imp_validation configuration option—The default value of this configuration option is yes, to automatically enable the validation of the imported and opened models.
However, you can disable the validation of the imported and opened models at the start of a Creo session, even before you import or open models, or when the imported or opened models are in session.
To disable the import validation of models at the start of a session, you can perform the following tasks:
Set the intf3d_in_enable_imp_validation configuration option to no.
Clear the Enable Import Validation check box.
After you set the intf3d_in_enable_imp_validation configuration option to no or clear the Enable Import Validation check box, the non-native models that you import or open are not validated and import failures are not reported to the Notification Center. However, the validation of models that you imported or opened, before disabling import validation, is not affected.
*
Disabling import validation for a session of Creo only works on models that are opened or imported as new models. Reopening or reimporting models from a previous session of Creo in which import validation was enabled, does not change the validation status of the reimported or reopened models in the later session of Creo in which import validation is disabled.
