To Automatically Tag References in a Configurable Module
1. In an open configurable module with more than one component, click . The Reference Pairing Table dialog box opens.
2. To activate the collectors in the Reference Pairing Table dialog box, right-click the graphics window for a shortcut menu:
Active Component—Activates the Active Component collector.
Components to Pair—Activates the Components to Pair collector.
Context Assembly—Activates the Context Assembly collector.
Clear—Clears the selected reference collector.
Next tag—Highlights the next row of the reference pairing table.
Previous tag—Highlights the previous row of the reference pairing table.
3. Select the current module variant.
4. To select an assembly to be used to set the context for the tag creation, click . The File Open dialog box opens.
5. Select an assembly and click Open.
6. Click the Components to Pair collector and select one or more module variants to pair with the current module variant.
7. Click Create Required Tags. The AutoTag Creation dialog box opens. When more than one occurrence of the module variant exists in the configurable module following these steps:
a. Use the arrows to select the component from the Select Occurrence list. It highlights in the graphics area.
b. Click Accept.
8. Click Evaluation Rules. Select a rule for tagging references and use the arrows to move it up or down in the list.
9. Click or clear the check box to enable or disable a rule.
10. Click Evaluate. Possible references for tagging are evaluated against the rules and the results are populated in the table.
11. Click the arrow adjacent to Evaluate and click Evaluate and Create Tags. Required tags are automatically created and appear in the table according to the settings for the evaluation rule order. New tags for subsequent rules and optional tags are also created.
12. Make sure all required references are satisfied.
13. Click or Options > Columns Setup to change the display of the table columns. The Models and Columns display dialog box opens. Change the column width, add or remove columns, and click OK.
14. Click the Show Optional Pairing Tags check box to show optional pairing tags.
15. Use or to add or delete the optional tag rows.
16. Click OK.
17. Reference tags are visible in the Footer folder of the configurable module.
