To Propagate Annotation Elements to Data Sharing Features
1. Open a model.
2. Click the Model tab and then click a shared data element such as Copy Geometry, Shrinkwrap, or Get Data > Merge/Inheritance. Alternatively, you can propagate annotation elements from Model > Model Intent > Publish Geometry. The corresponding tab opens.
*

3. In the Annotations area of the tab, click References, and then click Edit. The Propagate Annotation dialog box opens.
4. To copy all Annotation Elements, select the Copy all check box.
All Annotation Elements including the stacked annotations are propagated to the model.
5. To copy individual Annotation Elements, clear the Copy all check box and click . Select individual Annotation Elements in the graphics window, Model Tree, or search tool.
*
If you select a member of the stacked annotations, the entire stack is propagated to the model. The name of the stacked leader appears in the Name column.
6. To make all selected Annotation Elements dependent, select the Dependent check box. This is the default. To make a specific Annotation Element dependent, select the Dependency check box in the list of selected Annotation Elements.
7. To propagate annotation planes automatically, click the Annotation plane check box.
8. Click OK.
*
When propagating annotation elements to data sharing features, the source model’s default combination state is used as reference for assigning annotations to the target model’s default combination state.
