To Substitute a Component with an Instance from its Family Table in a Simplified Representation
To substitute one instance with another in a simplified representation:
1. Click . The View Manager dialog box opens. The Simp Rep tab is selected by default.
2. Click New to create a new simplified representation.
3. Press ENTER. The Edit:REP Component Chooser dialog box opens.
4. Select the top level assembly to include all the components in the simplified representation.
5. Select the component that you want to substitute with an instance. In the REP column click the arrow and select Substitute by Family Table. The Family Tree dialog box opens.
6. Select an instance with which you wish to substitute the component and click OK.
Alternatively, in an existing simplified representation, you can:
1. Click Properties.
2. Select the component in the Model Tree or graphics window and click . The Family Tree dialog box opens.
3. Select an instance with which you wish to substitute the component and click OK.
