Use Creo Parametric functionality to embed a component assembled by Advanced Framework.
Modify an Advanced Framework profile, project subassembly, connector, or equipment which has been embedded and does not require models to be replaced.
Reuse an Advanced Framework profile, project subassembly, connector, or equipment which has been embedded in the same assembly.
Create cuts that modify embedded components.
Assemble project subassemblies, and connector and equipment assemblies which contain embedded components.
Use Advanced Framework joints functionality.
Use Advanced Framework project parameters functionality.
Use Advanced Framework simplified representation functionality.
Use Advanced Framework point pattern.
Use Advanced Framework automatic UDF functionality.
Limitations of the Advanced Framework functionality with Embedded Components
The actions that follow are not supported:
Use of Advanced Framework in an assembly which is embedded in a higher-level assembly.
Assembly of a copy of an embedded Advanced Framework profile, project subassembly, connector or equipment.
Modification of an Advanced Framework profile, project subassembly, connector, or equipment which has been embedded if it requires the models to be replaced.
Replacement of an Advanced Framework profile, project subassembly, connector, or equipment.
For modification of components in the Element Definition dialog box, the toggling options which suppress or resume features, such as the options Holes or With chamfer in different plate components.
