You can express view scales in a decimal or fractional format. Specify the required format by resetting the view_scale_format drawing setup file option. Note that decimal format is the default. Using theview_scale_denominator drawing setup file option, you can establish the pattern of fractional scales.

When you change the view scale, geometry in that view updates correspondingly. However, changing the view scale affects the visible size of the geometry in the drawing. Dimension values remain unchanged.
