Number of Master Steps
Master steps are the time steps at which results are calculated, allowing you to see how measure values vary with the load.
Type or select a number from 1 to 99. The recommended range is between 1 and 20. To reduce run time, specify a smaller number of master steps.

In the case of a snap through analysis using the arc length method, if there is a problem in solution convergence you have to increase the number of master steps to smoothen the load histories.
If you are concerned only with the stress and deformation of your model with the load fully applied, retain the default value of 1. This setting does not affect convergence of the analysis except possibly when snap through occurs.

For global sensitivity studies, the number of master steps is always 1, no matter what you specify here.
Creo Simulate displays the master steps in a table and assigns a number to each step.
Type a value for the time step or use the default values. The value of the first time step is set to 0 by default, and the last time step is equal to the highest value of time in a load set table for a load set included in the analysis. Creo Simulate calculates the load to be applied based on the time step specified and the corresponding load function associated with that load set. When you select MEC/T history load from the Load Set / Component list, all the time steps of the transient thermal analysis associated with the MEC/T history temperature load are used to report results.
Creo Simulate evaluates measures at all time steps and calculates full results at the specified steps.
