Consistency in Visibility of Datum Entities and Datum Features
The representation of visibility states between datum entities and related datum features is more consistent.
User Interface Location:
In the mini toolbar click Show or Hide.
Click View > Visibility.
Release: Creo Parametric 7.0.0.0
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
The visibility states between datum entities and related datum features are synchronized to be more intuitive and for an easier understanding of the visibility state.
This should reduce situations you might find in earlier releases where for example, a datum feature is visible in the Model Tree, even if its corresponding datum plane entity is hidden by a layer. The visibility states for datum feature and datum entities are controlled separately in earlier releases, so the visibility in this case is technically correct.
In Creo Parametric 7.0.0.0, the visibility states are consistent, and it is more intuitive. For datums with a 1:1 correspondence between the datum feature and its datum entity, including datum planes, datum axes, and coordinate systems, the visibility of both object types is synchronized.
Additional Information
Tips:
None.
Limitations:
This does not apply to datum points because there is not necessarily a 1:1 relationship between the datum point feature and the point entity.
Does this replace existing functionality?
No.
