What is the benefit of this enhancement?
The detailing and listing of body information on a drawing is supported as follows:
Support for the listing of body information in repeat-region tables, including specific logic for the following:
Automatic exclusion of construction bodies
Display options for the PTC_REPORTED_MATERIAL parameter for multimaterial parts.
Drawing-table template for multiple body designs
Cross section and hatching modification per body
Copy hatching properties from body to body and from body to component
In addition, there is support for removing hidden lines for intersecting bodies to make the design easier to visualize. Hatch properties of cross sections that are already defined, are easy to reuse.
Additional Information
Find additional information about multibody models, including configuration options and some limitations, in Part Modeling and other sections of the Help.
Tips:
To show the body material information use the parameter PTC_REPORTED_MATERIAL to show the materials used in a part. Control the display options for this parameter with the Detail option ptc_reported_material_in_region. Values for this Detail option are multi-material, list, and empty. The default is multi-material.
Does this replace existing functionality?
No.
Configuration options associated with this functionality:
hlr_adv_interference_check_prt—Set to yes to accurately remove hidden lines for the intersected bodies in a part. The default is yes. This option applies to the display in the 3D graphics window and in part views in drawings.
hlr_adv_interference_check_asm—Set to yes to accurately remove hidden lines for the intersected bodies and components. The default is no. This option applies to the display in the 3D graphics window and in assembly views in drawings.
