Improvements to Custom Cells in Additive Manufacturing
You can create lattices from a custom cell that is based in a non-BREP (boundary representation) geometry.
User Interface Location: Click Model > Engineering > Lattice. Click the Cell Type tab and then select Custom.
Release: Creo Parametric 7.0.0.0

What is the benefit of this enhancement?
In Creo Parametric 6.0.0.0, custom cells support BREP geometry in the part file that contains the cell. In Creo Parametric 7.0.0.0, the lattice cell part can contain solid geometry, quilts, and curves. The lattice that results is created using these elements, according to the following:
Solid geometry in the lattice cell part creates a solid geometry-based cell
Quilts geometry in the lattice cell part creates a surface-based lattice cell. Quilts are thickened when selecting the full geometry representation.
Curves geometry in the lattice cell part creates a beam-based lattice cell. You can only have straight curves in the cell and those are converted into beams.
