What is the benefit of this enhancement?
Using the deviation analysis, you can compare the reconstructed geometry body to the generative design optimized shape and easily identify areas in the reconstructed geometry that are not aligned. Then, quickly focus on those areas and manually edit them in Freestyle to improve the overall model quality.
The deviation analysis comparison provides visual and numerical feedback on the proximity of BREP (boundary representation) surfaces to the triangulated geometry. The results show the minimum and maximum deviation values, based on surface normal.
The deviation analysis identifies areas in the reconstructed geometry that deviate from the optimized shape so you can edit and improve the quality of your model.
