What is the benefit of this enhancement?
There are different requirements related to the visual gap between the GTOL (geometric tolerance) frame and the indicator to which it is attached, in different versions of the ISO 1101 standards:
Per ISO 1101:2012 there should be a small gap between the two elements
Per ISO 1101:2017 there should be no gap between the two elements

Control the Gap Between a GTOL Frame and the Indicator Frame2
Set the detail option gtol_indicator_attached to no or yes to control the gap in the model and drawing environments. The default is yes. If you have a drawing that is designed against the 2012 version of ISO 1101, and you need to make it compliant with the 2017 version , you can use this detail option to help you modify your design per the latest ISO standards.
