To Define Welding Measurement Parameters
You can define a welding measurement parameter using the Parameters dialog box or the Parameter Properties dialog box.
1. Open the Parameters dialog box by choosing one of the following actions:
Click Tools > Parameters.
From the Fillet Weld, Groove Weld, Butt Weld, Plug/Slot Weld, or Spot Weld tab, click the Properties tab, and then click Define next to Feature Parameters.
Right-click a welding feature in the Model Tree or graphics window and choose Parameters from the shortcut menu.
2. Select a parameter of the type Real.
3. Perform one of the following actions:
Right-click and choose Create Measure.
Click Properties. The Parameter Properties dialog box opens. Under Measure, click Create.
4. Choose a measure type from the list:
Edg/Crv Len—Measures a curve or edge length.
Edg/Crv Curv—Measures a curve or edge curvature.
Angle—Measures an angle between two entities.
Distance—Measures the distance between two entities.
Area—Measures an area of a surface or a quilt.
Diameter—Measures a diameter of a curved surface.
Min Radius—Measures a minimum radius of a surface.
Srf Clearance—Measures the clearance between two surfaces
A dialog box opens for the measure type you selected.
5. In the graphics window, select items to measure, and type or select values for the measurement parameter as needed.
6. Click OK. The parameter type changes to Measure, and its accessibility changes to Locked.
