To Set End Conditions for a Curve
Optionally, you can define constraints for each end of the curve.
1. Click Edit > Modify in Scan Tools.
2. Select a curve. The Modify Curve dialog box opens.
3. Click Constraints on the Modify Curve dialog box.
4. Under Constraints, click First End or Second End. The selected end is highlighted.
5. From the list, select a constraint that you want to assign. Select from the following options on the Modify Curve dialog box:
Free—No conditions are specified.
Position—The end is fixed in its current position.
Tangent—Makes the end tangent to a reference. You can select only a one-sided edge as a reference boundary.
Curvature—Sets G2 continuity and tangency between the curve and reference. You can select only a one-sided edge as a reference boundary.
Normal—Scan Tools aligns the boundary to the selected plane so that normals along that boundary are parallel to the plane.
6. Optionally, select a reference for the constraint, or Scan Tools preserves the current status.
