To Attach the Freestyle Geometry
To make available the Attach mode, you must open a triangulated, faceted, or a volumetrically represented body.
1. Select a shape or mesh elements.
2. Click Freestyle > Attach.
3. Middle-click in the graphics window. The selected mesh elements are attached to the triangulated or faceted body.
When you select a face or an edge, the corresponding vertices get attached.
The attached mesh element retains the selection intent when you apply resolution.
You cannot move the attached vertices beyond the facet or triangulation constraints.
To drag the attached vertices beyond the constraint of the faceted or triangulated body
1. Select a vertex.
2. Press Shift and drag. The vertex moves freely.
If you select such vertices or transform them, they get attached to the faceted or triangulated body.
