2D Plane Stress Thermal Model Type
Use this option if you are modeling a thin, flat plate—for example, a piece of glass. In 2D plane stress models, all included geometry must lie in the XY plane of the Cartesian coordinate system that you select as the reference coordinate system for your model. If you are working with assemblies, all included surfaces from the assembly components must lie at the same Z depth.
For 2D plane stress models, Creo Simulate meshes your model using 2D plate elements. To successfully run an analysis, you must first assign a simple or advanced shell idealization to any surfaces that you plan to include in your plane stress model.
