About Diagnosing Failures in Mechanism
You can diagnose and resolve failures of a mechanism when a model is disconnected or the mechanism analysis fails to connect.
To aid in failure diagnostics, the following files are created in your working directory.
• When regeneration fails a pmech_conn_regen.txt file is created and gives a full report of the regeneration failures.
• When an analysis fails a pmech_conn.txt file is created and gives a full report of kinematic loops that cannot be closed.
You can view and diagnose failures using a procedure below.
• In the Notification Center, click

.• When you run an analysis, the Mechanism Disconnected dialog box opens. Click Details.
By default, the Error Diagnostics for Analysis/Assembly Failure report opens in the embedded browser. You can set the info_output_format configuration option to text to open the text files in an Information Window.
