About the Extrude Tool in Sheetmetal Design
In Sheetmetal Design, Creo 7.0 introduces two sheetmetal-specific tools that provide you with the same capabilities as the legacy Extrude tool. The two tools are:
The Extrude tool. To access this tool, click Sheetmetal > Extrude.
This tool can be used to create the following features:
Unattached extruded walls
The Extruded Cut tool. To access this tool, click Sheetmetal > Extruded Cut.
This tool can be used to create the following features:
Sheet metal cuts that remove solid material from the sheet metal wall, normal to the driven or to the offset surface, or normal to both surfaces
Solid cuts that remove solid material from the sheet metal wall, normal to the sketch plane
