About Copy Geometry Features Following Surfaces with Bends and Unbends
You can copy an external geometry, add it to your local sheet metal design, and choose to have the copied geometry follow a selected surface in the sheet metal design.
Click Sheetmetal > Copy Geometry. The Copy Geometry tab opens.
Click the References tab, and then click to browse to the external geometry that you want to copy. In the opened Placement dialog box, select Coord Sys. Select the coordinate system of the external model and then select the coordinate system of the local model placed on a sheet metal part with the Follow Surface option. Select the Follow Surface check box and then click OK.
In the References tab, click a collector to select the references to include in the copy geometry feature. You can select Surface Sets, Bodies, Chain, or References.
Click . The external geometry is copied and follows the surface and bends of the local geometry associated with the specified coordinate system.
