To Extend a Pipeline Using a Csys Axis Reference
1. Make sure there is a free end or start feature.
2. Click 
Extend. The Extend dialog box opens.
Extend. The Extend dialog box opens.3. Select Along Csys Axis from the list.
4. Select a coordinate system or click the Use Route Csys check box to use the route coordinate system as a reference.
5. Select an axis to extend the pipe.
6. Select the Dimension options:
◦ Length—Extends the pipe segment to the given length along the reference axis. Type a value in the box or drag the handle in the graphics window.
◦ Offset from Ref—Extends the pipe segment along the reference axis until its end is at a given offset distance from a selected reference plane or coordinate system. Do the following:
1. Select the reference plane or coordinate system.
2. Select the Projection axis when the reference is a coordinate system.
3. Type an offset value or drag the handle in the graphics window.
7. Click OK to extend the pipe segment and quit the dialog box or click Apply to extend the segment and configure a new segment.
