Profile Options for Multibody Models
The following profile options are associated with multibody models.
• Import multiple bodies into one part
Sets the default behavior for importing models for each file format.
◦ When the option is selected, imports the model as one part that contains multiple bodies.
◦ When the option is not selected, imports each body as a separate component of an assembly.

You cannot edit this profile option from the Import New Model dialog box, while you are importing a model. You can only edit this option in advance, from the Creo Parametric Options dialog box.

To set this profile option:
1. Click > 
Options. The Creo Parametric Options dialog box opens.

3. Next to Profiles directory, specify the path to the folder or directory in which to keep import and export profiles.
4. Under Import and Open Profiles, select a file format.
5. Click Setup Import and Open Profiles. A dialog box for the profile of the selected file format opens.
6. Click the Topology tab.
7. Select or clear the Import multiple bodies into one part check box.
• Construction bodies
Sets the default behavior for exporting construction bodies.
◦ When the option is not selected, does not include construction bodies in the exported files.
◦ When the option is selected, includes construction bodies in the exported files.
The As quilts option becomes available.
▪ When the option is selected, exports the construction bodies as quilts.
▪ When the option is not selected, does not export the construction bodies as quilts.
To set this profile option:
1. Click > Options. The Creo Parametric Options dialog box opens.

3. Next to Profiles directory, specify the path to the folder or directory in which to keep import and export profiles.
4. Under Export Profiles, select a file format.
5. Click Setup Export Profiles. A dialog box for the profile of the selected file format opens.
6. Select or clear the Construction bodies check box.
7. When the Construction bodies check box is selected, the As quilts check box becomes available. Select or clear the check box.
