About the Trajectory Rib User Interface
The Trajectory Rib tab consists of commands, tabs, and shortcut menus. Click Model, click the arrow next to Rib, and click Trajectory Rib to open the Trajectory Rib tab.
Commands
—Switches the depth direction to the other side of the sketch. The rib is extended to the next solid surface encountered.
—Sets the rib width value.
Add Draft—Adds drafts to the side surfaces.
Round Exposed Edges—Adds rounds to the exposed edges.
Round Internal Edges—Adds rounds to the rib-to-rib and rib-to-model edges.
Tabs
Placement
Sketch collector—Displays the sketch reference of the Trajectory Rib feature.
Define—Opens Sketcher so you can define a sketch.
Edit—Opens Sketcher so you can edit a sketch.
Shape
Use this tab to define rounds and a draft angle and to preview a cross section of the rib.
Width box—Sets the rib width.
Draft angle box—Sets the rib draft angle. Available when Add Draft is selected.
Round top by—Sets the round radius on the upper part of the rib. Available when Round Exposed Edges is selected.
Two-Tangent round—Creates a full round. It is driven by a relation that is dependent on the width and draft angle of the trajectory rib.
Specified Value—Creates a round with a radius that you specify.
R box—Sets a value for the round radius.
Round bottom radius—Defines the round radius at the internal edges. Available when Round Internal Edges is selected.
Same as top—Creates rounds on the internal edges of the rib with the same radius as the rounds on the exposed edges. Available when Specified Value is selected for the exposed edge round radius.
Specified Value—Creates a round with a radius that you specify.
R box—Sets a value for the round radius.
Body Options
Body collector—Selects the body to which geometry is added.
Properties
Name box—Sets a name for a feature.
—Displays detailed component information in a browser.
Shortcut Menu
Right-click the graphics window to access shortcut menu commands.
Add Draft—Adds drafts to the side surfaces.
Round Internal Edges—Adds rounds to the rib-to-rib and rib-to-model edges.
Round Exposed Edges—Adds rounds to the exposed edges.
Define Internal Sketch——Opens Sketcher so you can create an internal sketch.
—Switches the thickness side of the rib feature in relation to the sketching plane.
Sketch—Activates the Sketch collector so you can define or edit a sketch of the trajectory.
Select bodies—Activates the body collector so you can select the body to which geometry is added.
Clear—Deletes the sketch reference for the rib feature.
Flip Depth Direction—Switches the depth direction to the other side of the sketch.
Show Section Dimensions—Display the sketch dimensions in the graphics window.
Hide Section Dimensions—Removes the sketch dimensions from display in the graphics window.
