Example: Transformation File Format
The transformation file with the name filename.trf has the following format:
Transformation File Format
1. Determines the x-axis direction.
2. Determines the vector that lies in the xy-plane and the general direction of the y-axis.
3. Can be anything, because the z-axis is determined using the right hand rule.
4. Translation coordinate locates the origin of the new coordinate system.
For example, the following file creates a new coordinate system with the origin at (200, 0, 150), as determined from the reference coordinate system. The new x-axis is pointing in the negative x-direction and the new y-axis is pointing in the positive z-direction, all relative to the reference coordinate system.
