To Collapse Features
1. Perform one of the following actions:
Select any combination of geometry and features to collapse, and then click Model > Editing > Collapse.
Click Model > Editing > Collapse, and then select features to collapse.
The Collapse dialog box opens. If required, the system automatically adds features to the selection, and the features that will collapse are highlighted.
2. Under Set of features to collapse, select an option:
All geometrically related features—Adds to the set of features to collapse all the features that contribute to the geometric entities, solids, or quilts that you selected.
Range of features—Adds to the set of features to collapse all the features in sequence in the Model Tree between the first feature that you select and the last feature that you select.
3. Features that do not create geometry will be deleted when you collapse the selected features unless you reorder them after the resulting collapse feature. To reorder different types of feature, select any of the following check boxes:
Analysis Features
Annotation Features
Publish Geometry Features
Cosmetic Features

Features that do not create geometry that you select to reorder might fail after the collapse.
4. Click OK.
