About the Edit Chamfer User Interface
The Edit Chamfer user interface consists of commands, tabs, a dragger, and shortcut menus. Use the dragger and shortcut menus for expediency. Use the tabs for rule-based surface set selection, selecting attachment references chain, and viewing your selections. Click Flexible Modeling > Edit Chamfer to open the Edit Chamfer tab.
Commands
Chamfer collector—Shows the number of chamfer surface sets.
Remove chamfer check box—Removes the selected chamfer geometry.
Dimensioning scheme list—Sets the dimensioning scheme and shows the commands and boxes for the scheme.
D x D—Creates a chamfer that is at a distance (D) from the edge along each surface.
D1 x D2—Creates a chamfer at a distance (D1) from the selected edge along one surface and a distance (D2) from the selected edge along the other surface. switches the values between D1 and D2.
Angle x D—Creates a chamfer at a distance (D) from the selected edge along one adjacent surface at a specified angle (Angle) to that surface. switches the values between D and Angle.
45 x D—Creates a chamfer that is at an angle of 45° to both surfaces and a distance (D) from the edge along each surface.
O x O—Creates a chamfer that is at an offset distance (O) from the edge along each surface.
O1 x O2—Creates a chamfer at an offset distance (O1) from the selected edge along one surface and an offset distance (O2) from the selected edge along the other surface.
Tabs
Use the tabs for selecting chamfers and setting attachment options.
References
Chamfer surfaces—Displays chamfer surfaces or surface sets from multiple bodies and quilts to edit.
Details—Opens the Surface Sets dialog box.
Options
Attach chamfer geometry check box—Attaches the chamfer geometry to the underlying surface.
Create end surfaces check box—Creates surfaces at the ends where the chamfer overlaps other geometry. Available when Attach Chamfer Geometry is not selected.
Remove interfering rounds and chamfers check box—Removes rounds and chamfers that interfere with the edited chamfer geometry.
Pattern/Symmetry/Mirror feature—Shows a pattern, mirror, pattern recognition, or symmetry recognition feature that is used to propagate the edit chamfer feature to all instances such that the pattern, mirror, or symmetry is maintained.
Properties
Name—Shows the name of the feature.
—Shows information in the browser.
Shortcut Menus
Right-click the graphics window to access shortcut menu commands.
Shape Surfaces—Opens the Shape Surface Sets dialog box.
Chamfer surfaces—Activates the chamfer surfaces collector.
Pattern/Symmetry/Mirror Feature—Collects a pattern, mirror, pattern recognition, or symmetry recognition feature used to propagate the edit chamfer feature to all instances such that the pattern, mirror, or symmetry is maintained.
Clear—Clears the last selected collector.
Remove interfering geometry—Removes rounds and chamfers that interfere with the edited chamfer geometry.
